Last Wednesday the KWPN organized the annual stallion competition in Ermelo.
4 Horses that are trained at Van Olst Horses competed here, the 6 year old Giovanni and the 4 year old stallions Inclusive, Inspire and Inverness.
The first horse in the ring was Giovanni, he is sired by Chippendale x Scandic and bred by C. van Etten from Galder. He is owned by Equilence Bv from Huizen. He competed at Z level and it was the first competition with him and Franka Loos. Judge Mariette Sanders gave comments after the test: The walk is clear and shows good overtrack, he scored an 8. The overall image in trot is very good. He is showing a very good technique and it is clear that he has great power from behind, 8,5. The canter is very uphill and very powerful, 9. They scored a total of 84 points which was enough to winn the class!
Inclusive, Everdale x Uptown x Jazz, bred by R. Enting from Grolloo showed his great potential in trot and canter. In the beginning of the test he looked a little at the judges table which made some tension, but during the test he got more and more relaxed and he showed his great talents. The walk at the end of the test stands out with a clear rhythm and suppleness. The trot was very expressive, with a great technique. His canter is very uphill and he already showed his capability for collection after the extended canter.
Inspire, Everdale x Don Romantic x Fürst Heinrich, bred by and still partly owned by the fam. Carmeliet from Stekene. This big dark bay stallion stands out with his fantastic dressage type with long neck and uphill conformation. The last months he grow quit a bit, what could maybe be the reason why is not completely in shape. It seems a bit hard for him to handle the work he has to do at the moment. Despite this he showed a very nice test, where the expressive trot and canter were absolute highlights. As we have great confidence in this horse we keep training him at home for the competition and give him the time he needs to develop himself without rushing anything.
Inverness, Everdale x Johnson x Variant, bred by Van Maasacker from Cuijck and partly owned by the Lickley family from Wolverhampton, showed a very descent test. As we know him, everything he has to do is easy for him. Very cooperative he showed his great ability in trot and canter without losing any balans what so ever.
We will now train these 4 stallions for the next competition which is held in Kronenberg, at Hippisch Centrum De Peelbergen.
