Night or Day
Negro x Samber
Negro x Samber
Not only striking because of his color
The preferent awarded Negro is the sire of Night or Day. At the Olympic Games in Tokyo, three of his descendants were present to defend the colors of their country. The fact that Negro passes on his qualities for the big sport is therefore clear. But also in the second generation and even in the third generation, Negro is of great influence on contemporary dressage horse breeding.
The dam of Night or Day is the “ster preferente” mare Mariska. The grand prix dressage stallion Samber is the father of this mare who also has two other approved sons who reside in Canada. Granddam Warinka s. Recruut is the dam of several sport horses, including the 1.60m show jumper Don Camillo s. Sebastiaan.
Night or Day was approved by the NRPS in 2018 at the age of three. The report spoke of “a very eager to work stallion with a beautiful self-carriage. The walk is pure and regular. The trot has good scope with good leg technique. The canter is big with good use of the hind leg and a lot of balance. In movement, Night or Day shows a lot of self-carriage and already has a lot of balance. He has a lot of forwarnes. Night or Day gives the guest rider a very good feeling, is very willing to work with a lot of “go” in the movements, has a lot of self-carriage and a good balance.”
The NRPS gave him the following notes:
Walk 8
Trot 8
Canter 8,5
Stable behavior 9
Character/Work spirit 8
General impression 8.5
Dressage test 8,5
Dressage horse 8.5
