HC Groningen: Pjethro takes third victory
After winning two previous competitions, Charlotte Fry and Pjethro were once again unbeatable today in the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Dressage Competition. With an impressive score of 91.8 points, the son of Kjento took victory in the M class.
Pjethro (Kjento out of Jaomie elite IBOP-dres D-OC by Desperado, breeder: A.J. Beerens of De Moer) received a 9.5 for his overall impression today. A 9.4 for trot and 9.3 for submission were other highlights in his score sheet. “This stallion was very focused on his rider throughout the entire test and showed a pleasant, relaxed appearance,” explains Floor Dröge. He walks beautifully through his body with great cadence. It was noticeable that his walk was immediately good and relaxed after each transition. His trot has excellent technique and impulsion, and he possesses a great deal of rhythm and power. He also maintains a beautifully balanced trot in the overstretch. We also saw excellent balance in the canter, reflected in the transitions to and from the walk, where he continues to complement beautifully from the hind leg. The canter has plenty of energy and a beautiful silhouette. It was a harmonious test, with each transition being directly in response to the aid, and the horse continued to move towards the hand with a beautiful, consistent drive.
Powerdale (Glamourdale out of Dancing Girl Ster, Performance by Johnson) achieved a respectable 5th place with a score of 80.8, with an 8.4 for trot and an 8.6 for submission.
