Everdale, the sire of Inverness and Pavo Cup winner as four-year-old, was born out of the successful Lord Leatherdale x Negro combination. Negro is the father of the best dressage horse in the world: Charlotte Dujardin’s Valegro. The dam sire of Inverness is Johnson who, under Hans Peter Minderhoud, came ninth individually in the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. Inverness’s dam-line has produced many sport horses. Cyraniek for example is the half-sister of the Big Tour horse Niniek STV (s. Jazz) and their dam Faniek STV (s. Variant) produced several Z-level dressage horses and is also the granddam of the international Inter-I-level horse Up Seven (s. OO Seven) and of the Small Tour horse Chopard B (s. OO Seven). Faniek STV is the full-sister of the International Grand Prix horse Hermes 89 and a half-sister of the Big Tour horse Amadeus (s.United); their dam Boniek STV (s. Uniform) is also at the root of various Z-level dressage horses. KWPN stallion Junior STV (s.Uniform), Grand Prix under Anky van Grunsven, also originated from this bloodline.
Inverness is an honest and reliable stallion with a good temperament. The stallion has much willingness to work and is easy to work with. The walk is pure and has ample to good scope whereby the steps could be more clear-cut. The trot is active, slightly rolling in the front leg and has good scope. The stallion can switch easily in trot and has a long moment of suspension in the extensions. The canter is very powerful, uphill, with good to very good scope and self-carriage. Inverness moves with good self-carriage, good balance and good elasticity. As a dressage horse Inverness has much talent and gives the rider a good feeling.
Honest, reliable stallion, easy-going and quiet in the stable.
Inverness can improve the scope in the paces, especially the canter, and the ability to close/collect.
