Niro’s Enjoy wins NAF Dressage Talent Berlicum 2022

After a year of absence due to the corona crisis, NAF Dressage Talent Berlicum was back on the calendar this year. A competition for 4 and 5 year old dressage horses and for the first time also ponies. The four-year-old class was won by Niro’s Enjoy (s. De Niro x Lord Leatherdale, breeder Van Olst Horses) ridden by Franka Loos with 189 points.

The mare Nareina (s. Everdale x Krack C, breeder: Mrs. Oudijk from Arkel) finished in fourth place, ridden by Charlotte Fry.

This year the judges were Vincent van Gasselt and Dominique Filion, who both achieved success in the international Grand Prix. Marten Luiten, reigning European Champion Young Riders, rode the highest-ranking horses. “This was really fun to do”, Dominique is satisfied. “Vincent and I were very much on the same page and the competition was set up very well and animal-friendly. There was a large group among the four-year-olds, but there was good riding and certainly the top ten consisted of really super nice horses. In the leading group you can’t really believe that those horses are only four years old. Marten got a great feeling on all the horses and wanted to give them all a 10. They are very different horses, but they are all very special in their own way. I am very excited that we have so many good young horses in the Netherlands.”
