Romantico 6th place in the semi-finals of the Van Santvoort Makelaars Cup

Over seventy four-year-olds competed in the semi-finals of the Van Santvoort Makelaars Cup. The four-year-old semi-final was the final event on this first day of the KWPN Championships. All Van Santvoort Makelaars Cup finals are held on Saturday.

Quality Stallions
Three KWPN-approved stallions finished in the top ten. Romantico (Grandorado TN out of Madame Cornet RM by Cornet Obolensky, breeder: René Mulder) jumped to sixth place under Robin van Thillo with a score of 8.2/8.0.

Good Rideability
Overall, the four-year-olds rode well and performed well in the course. “Hendrik-Jan and I were on the same page and were pleasantly surprised that the vast majority of the horses navigated the course with ease. There’s a lot to see, and the course sometimes had some long lines, but the horses generally stayed focused and were sufficiently prepared to compete here. All in all, a promising first round of this championship,” said Marcel Beukers.
