HC IJsselmuiden: Real Dream canters to victory
The top three of the Anemone Horsetrucks Stallion Competition Dressage Class L on Saturday in IJsselmuiden were the same as in Kronenberg. Real Dream had already made a great impression under Charlotte Fry at the KWPN Stallion Show earlier this year during the presentation of the new crop. Under Fry, Real Dream, son of Dynamic Dream, once again won on Saturday evening with 90.4 points.
Real Dream’s test (Dynamic Dream out of Fivanny ster PROK by Negro, breeder: Maatschap Pleyter from Zalk and H.A. van Triest from Elburg) was full of highlights, with the stallion scoring a 9.5 for canter and a 9.2 for submission. “A very nice test from a horse that is perfectly in contact and does his work very well,” summarized Brecht D’Hoore on behalf of the judging panel, which also included Hans Peter Minderhoud and Patrick Berends. “The walk is very tactile with plenty of scope. In trot, he has good technique. The canter is a highlight; it has a lot of spring and is already very carried for a 4.5-year-old.”
Charlotte Fry still has a strong iron in the fire. She scored 90 points in the saddle of Kjento son Renzo (out of Aronia elite pref prest IBOP-dres PROK by Rousseau, breeder: C.M.E. Reijrink of Diessen), good for second place. “With this horse, the walk was a highlight. It’s very pure with excellent use of the body. It’s striking that he walks very well immediately after a transition. The trot has a lot of suppleness and excellent transition. In canter, we saw a very nice, uphill movement with excellent transition.”
