Charlotte Fry scores at subtop Den Dungen: “A lot of quality”

In the combined Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire I class in Den Dungen, Charlotte Fry took home two prizes on Wednesday. The second place with Especial (by Everdale) and a fifth place with Jackson (by Everdale). The class was won by Chantal Nijpjes and her horse Golden Girl (by Uphill) with 71.47%. Third was Jessica Leijser who rode Kashmir (by Glamourdale) to 69.93%. Tom Verhoeven and Honey D’Or (by Chippendale) were fourth with 69.71%.

Spectacular trot

The second prize was for Charlotte’s Intermediaire I test, which was rewarded with 70.29% “Especial had a very good test. The entire part in trot was really a highlight, he went through it very nicely. At the start of the canter he got a little hot, but luckily I was able to calm him down a bit, after which he did very nice pirouettes.” says the rider.

Green

Charlotte’s Prix St. Georges test was good for 68.28%. “Jackson is still quite green and inexperienced. It was even his first ever show, so he thought it was all a bit exciting. He is a mega talented horse and there were really nice parts in the test.”

Grand Prix quality

“They are both offspring of Everdale and I really love his offspring. They have a fantastic mentality and the quality to become Grand Prix horses. This Saturday I will start again with Jackson in Nieuw en Sint Joosland. He has seen very little, so it is now important to gain a lot of experience. I want to take Especial a few times with me to international competitions in the Small Tour this season.”
