Lottie Fry and Glamourdale ‘on fire’ for a frenzied home audience

The British public went wild on Saturday night when their own Charlotte Fry and the KWPN stallion Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale out of Thuja stb pref prest by Negro, breeder J.W. Rodenburg of Ouderkerk aan den IJssel) started their last piaffe passage tour in the Freestyle on Music in London.

Herning’s world champions took it one step further and danced to victory in the World Cup competition with a personal best of 90.995%.

It was the first time that Lottie Fry was on British soil with her golden World Cup horse Glamourdale. The stallion was in great shape, 22 tens were on the protocol. Many of those tens fell in the artistic section, but also for the extended canter (five times), the two tempis, the halfpass to the left, the extended trot and the halt. Very well deserved, the score came to 90.995%, a personal best and a convincing victory.

Incredible crowd
“The crowd support tonight has been incredible, and to end this amazing year here is amazing! It’s almost impossible to sum up 2022 – it’s been incredible and coming to London and performing in front of my home crowd is the best feeling and the best way to end the year!” said Fry.

Of the Glamourdale performance, she said, “I had such an easy, fun ride. He’s better than in Herning and we keep improving, so I can’t wait for the next few years. Paris (Olympics 2024) is definitely the target, and we’ll see how it goes until then.”
