Negro son Diego leaves a good impression at Dutch Championships

Franka Loos and Giovanni (Chippendale x Scandic) finished 5th in the classification of the Small Tour during the Dutch Championship in Ermelo. In the U25 class, Franka made her debut with the black KWPN approved stallion Diego (Negro x Don Gregory). This still early combination left a very good impression. Unfortunately, they had just a few too many matching errors to achieve a high score, but the quality and potential are certainly there. With more routine in the U25 tests, this combination will definitely score higher.

More than 77% international LT debut Glamourdale: “It’s just fantastic”

World champion Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale x Negro) made his international Small Tour debut in a very convincing way on CDI Compiègne. Charlotte Fry sent the impressive stallion to 77.353% and thus holds the lead of the Prix St. Georges. Trainer Anne van Olst could not have been more proud: “He is just fantastic.”

“He does everything in the ring. Maybe one pirouette could have been a little nicer, but whether he had received 75%, 77% or 85%, it is incredibly good what he does. The twists and turns were perfect in the same rhythm and it was wonderful to see, “says Anne van Olst enthusiastically. The Danish jury member Susanne Baarup, who also judged the 2016 Olympic Games, among other things, scored 82.353%. “Lottie has fantastic horses under saddle. It always looks light and unforced and the horses find it very pleasant to work with her. Gertjan has always had a lot of faith in his breeding and it is almost unbelievable that it will come true. ”
Van Olst is enthusiastic about Glamourdale’s Grand Prix talent. “He shows very good things in the training. He is used sparingly this year because he is also fully available for breeding. ”

Fantastic international Grand Prix debut Everdale

The CDI Compiegne (FRA) will be held from 16 to 19 May where Charlotte Fry, among others, will launch Everdale.

Everdale (Lord Leatherdale x Negro) and Charlotte Fry today made a fantastic debut in the international Grand Prix during the CDI3 * in Compiegne. In a large field of 32 participants, they were the first to start this morning. With many impressive parts but also some ring inexperience at this level, the duo managed to put down a great test and impressed the jury with 70.41% during their very first international Grand Prix test. “He was a very good boy, and showed so many good things. We are just starting at this level together, so for now I am very satisfied “, says a delighted Lottie.
Our preferent top producer Negro (Ferro x Variant) was strongly represented in the top 5 of the three- stars Grand Prix. The winner was Johnson’s son Eddieni, with the Swedish Malin Wahlkamp-Nilsson, who, like Everdale, was bred from a daughter of Negro.

World champion Glamourdale to dream score with Inter I debut

After Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale x Negro) and Charlotte Fry won gold last year at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo, the KWPN stallion no longer appeared in the ring. Last winter there were several stallion shows on his agenda, but at the Subtop competition today in Delft the champion duo made a fantastic return in the ring and at the same time the debut in the Intermédiaire I. That ended with the top score of 76.25% and a big score victory in the combined classification Small Tour.

“It was a long time ago for Glamourdale, but he was really good today. Really amazing! ”, says Charlotte Fry, the British stable rider of Gertjan and Anne van Olst. The duo showed a clear test but the stallion was occasionally just not completely alert to his rider. “Ponies were walking in the meadow next to the ring, which is a bit difficult for a stallion. As a result, he lost his concentration a number of times, but I can’t blame him, “Fry explains. “If there are no ponies next time, it will probably be better.” Four nines appeared on the protocol: for the trotting unit, the extended canter, the halt-salute and the series every three. “We also had many eights and a positive jury comment. I am very happy to be back in the ring with Glamourdale and he really enjoys it too. ”

Van Olst top 3

The Van Olst Riders also won prizes in the rest of the top three. Van Olst rider Franka Loos achieved two scores above 70 percent: with the nine-year-old stallion Furst Romantico (Furst Romancier x Sir Donnerhall), who came in Czech hands at the last edition of the Van Olst Sales, she scored 71.25% de Intermédiaire I. In the Prix St. Georges, Loos sent the KWPN stallion George Clooney (De Niro x Wolkentanz), who was bred in Hanover, to 71.03% and thus the third place in this combined classification. with the KWPN stallion Diego (Negro x Don Gregory) 70.29% in their Intermédiaire II debut. The Grand Prix of Charlotte Fry and Dark Legend (Zucchero x Tango) was good for the third score of 69.78% .

In the Small Tour, Fry scored a nice 3rd place with 68.68% with the somewhat enthusiastic For Your Eyes Only. “The series unfortunately broke down and that dropped the score”.

Everdale debuts and wins the Grand Prix

On Sunday April 28th the Grand Prix debut of our top stallion Everdale was planned, as well as the upcoming talent Nespresso. In Nispen Everdale showed to have all the qualities to become a very good Grand Prix horse, just like Nespresso who also managed to close his class in a winning way.

The combination scored 70.38 and immediately won the class. “I am so happy with how he did,” said an enthusiastic Charlotte Fry, who also successfully started Everdale at the U25. “He was a bit fresh. This was his first outdoor competition and lately he has run a number of stallion shows with good music. He was a bit too enthusiastic in the extended trot, but otherwise it went very well. He has no weaknesses and runs through the test with such ease. Exercises that I think are still tough, like the zig-zag in the canter, he runs through them without problems. We scored well across the board and we even got 8.5 for the piaffe”.

The Inter II was won by the also debuting Nespresso (Negro x Tenerife) with Anne van Olst. This great stallion ran his very first competition ever. He shows all heavy exercises with great ease and scored 67.35%.

Lots of atmosphere in the Van Olst Sales auction arena.
