Negro makes his mark on Autumn inspection test

After the KWPN Autumn inspection test for 3- and 4-year-old stallions, there is one stallion who is very noticeably making his mark: the preferent legend Negro (Ferro x Variant).

His son Kjento (Negro x Jazz) emerged as the big winner of the 3-year-old stallions with a record score of 90 points. Never before has a 3-year-old stallion earned his approval in Ermelo with such a mega score! An absolute milestone for this black Negro-son. His “lowest” score was an 8.5 for walk and the other scores were all 9.0s. He achieved his highest score for his canter (9.5) and it is exactly that for which Negro’s two 4-year-old grandsons also scored the highest. Add to this the fact that the performance test reports of these 3 stallions also state that they are very rider-focused and very good to train. And think too about his Olympic Gold-son Valegro, as well as his grandson Glamourdale (FEI-World Champion of 7-year-olds with a 10.0 for his canter), then you can talk of an absolute top-producer.

His 2 four-year-old sons Jayson (ds. Negro) and Jameson RS2 (ds.Negro) both achieved a top score in Ermelo. Here too the rideability and trainability attracted attention, as did the trademark of both stallions, the canter. Jayson scored a 9.0 for canter and Jameson RS2 a 10.0! Jameson RS2, out of the superbly-breeding Negro-daughter Atilinda M, achieved a record score of 90 points, just like Kjento, which has also never previously happened with a 4-year-old stallion.

Despite being 23-years young, Negro remains a leader and proves time and again to be of great value for our station, but also for global dressage horse breeding. Both as immediate sire and as dam sire.

Jayson ready for Kronenberg Stallion Competition

Our recently KWPN-approved stallion Jayson, together with his rider Franka Loos, showed today that he is ready for the first stallion competition in Kronenberg on Monday 19th November.

The riders and grooms of Team KWPN have looked after him well in Ermelo. Jayson allowed himself to be easily ridden by Franka and looks fantastic. Despite it being very soon after the performance test for this combination, we are going to De Peelbergen with a good feeling.

As well as Jayson (Johnson x Negro) in the 4-year-olds, Franka Loos will ride Inverness (Everdale x Johnson) in the 5-year-olds. Charlotte Fry will also be competing in the 5-year-olds, with the stallion Inclusive (Everdale x Uptown). This will be their first competition since the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.
