Glamourdale daughter takes the title at CK Utrecht

A good-looking group of three-year-old dressage mares returned on Friday, June 28th for the championship inspection at the Central Inspection in Houten. Convincing champion was Lady Lamelia (Glamourdale x Dream Boy), who was in control of all competition with her strong movement.

Five mares were allowed to come back for the final, all of them handsome mares, all of which were referred to the National Mare Inspection. Lady Lamelia (from Hesmelia elite EPTM-dres PROK by Dream Boy) walked to the championship with a lot of bravado. The breeding product of Gerrit Kolback showed to possess a lot of movement quality. Jury chairman Toine Hoefs: “A mare with a lot of length, built up. The withers might be allowed to walk a little longer and we also had a small remark on the foreleg that is slightly back in the knee, but when the mare starts to move you quickly forget that. She moves with a lot of power, very nice up, with good use of the foreleg. For us she was the convincing champion today. ”Kolback was very happy with the victory. “I don’t breed that much at all, and this is my second time being at the front. The first time was here, with her mother. Actually, she was not at all as special as a foal, but last year we thought it could become a very good one, and she showed that today! ”

A Glamourdale daughter was placed fourth again. This was La Reina (out of Black Lady ster by Dutch Dormello, breeder Th. Willig from Abcoude). “A long-lined mare with a lot of variety and appearance and a beautiful front”.

Highest points for George Clooney daughter Lily at SK Varsseveld

A studbook inspection of the Gelderland region took place on June 27th in Varsseveld. Two dressage mares earned 80 points for their presentation.

Of the 26 mares that Bart Bax and Floor Dröge judge in Varsseveld, 12 could be declared ster. “The accommodation was great, everything was well cared for and the ring looked great,” says Bart Bax. “We have seen some mares today that could be more correct in the foundation. In addition, we saw horses that were slightly downward in the hull direction, which was also reflected in the movement. ”

Lily
Two mares achieved 80 points for movement, including the mare Lily (George Clooney out of Hailey by Johnson, breeder S. Wijnveen of Winterswijk) of W. Scholten from Lichtenvoorde. This mare got 85 points for the walk, 80 for trot and 75 for canter and posture, she scored 75 points for conformation. “This is a mare with a lot of charisma that is more than sufficiently in the rectangular model. She has an appealing front with a long neck that is well muscled. The top line is strong enough and also has good muscling. In addition, the mare has a hard foundation. In step she is active, pure and has a lot of flexibility and a lot of space. The trot is light-footed, with good technique and a lot of flexibility. What struck this mare is that she does not need speed to trot correctly. The canter has a good three-act with more than sufficient balance and suppleness, she could remain a little more closed in the canter for a higher grade. ”

Negro daughter Kaitlyn Karla
Four-year-old Kaitlyn Karla (Negro from Encanta Karla elite sport PROK by Vivaldi) from breeder G. Loeters from Didam received a 70/80 header beam. “This mare is more than adequate in the rectangular model and has an appealing head. The neck looks good and has more than sufficient length, it has a nicely developed wither that extends long into the back. Kaitlyn Karla has a strong top line but could have been a little more correct in the foundation for higher points. The walk is active, pure and has good space. In the trot the mare has a good technique and a good use of the hindleg, while she can switch easily. To get higher points, she was sometimes allowed to stay a little more uphill. The canter has a good three-act and more than sufficient posture, but could use a little more body. ”

Everdale son wins Subli-Cup Schijndel

During the second competition in the Subli Competition for Young Dressage Horses in Schijndel on June 15th, the victory of the four-year-olds went to the Everdale son Kenndale.

“Van Houtem-Vos entered the ring with her horse as the first combination with the four-year-olds and immediately put down a great test,” said jury member Schaeffer. “Kenndale was nice and loose through his body and his rider let him constantly pass through the test. Definitely a nice horse to see. ”Together with Kenndale (by Everdale), Nora van Houtem-Vos with a score of more than 84% was too strong for the 22 combinations. “A lot of people have already indicated that they are interested in him, but I really won’t put him away!”
The black stallion is still very young at the age of four. “He is exemplary. Kenndale walks around in such a competition as if he had never done anything else so he doesn’t look up or down. It is precisely in the ring that he gives me that little bit more. I ride him from the age of three and a half. The first time I took him, he immediately became third, the next time he led the entire day and he became champion at the talent competition. Everything is good about him. He has a great walk, nice trot and a strong canter. So a very complete and nice horse “, the rider tells enthusiastically.
