One week ago the 7-year old Joey v.d. Fuik (s. Everdale x Pion, bred by stable de Fuik and owned by Vincent van Gasselt) scored 68.857% in the ‘ZZ-zwaar class’ in Ermelo ridden by Dominique Filion. Last weekend the combination scored an amazing 70.500% at Equestrian Centre Groenraven in Houten.

Brecht D’Hoore competed three sons of Everdale last weekend at CDN Sint Truiden. With the KWPN-approved stallion Inverness (Everdale x Johnson, bred by Y.M.M. van Maasacker) he scored 68.897% in th Prix St Georges. With KINGS-Dream (Everdale x Gribaldi, bred by A.D.M. Hendrickx-Dekkers) he became second with a top score of 80,6% in the FEI 6-years old test. Inspire (Everdale x Don Romantic, bred by Carmeliet-Leybaert) came in third with 68.529% in the Inter I.

What a day in Compiegne! It started with the GP Special this morning with Everdale. A great score of 75,787% and a 2nd place in the final ranking of the class.
Then Dark Legend took the 5th place in the 5* Grand Prix with 75,109% and they will compete tomorrow in the Freestyle.
Then in the last class of the day, the Intermediare I, Lottie and Don Joe won again with a score of 73,706% with more then 3% difference to the number 2!

Again some great results at this beautiful horseshow!

What’s the best way to end your day at a competition? By winning the last class as the last starter with a top score of 76.674%! That’s what Charlotte Fry just did in the three-star Grand Prix in Compiègne. With Everdale, the black champion of Lord Leatherdale x Negro bred by P. Kluytmans from Tilburg, she showed that they’re in great form. In Exloo two weeks ago they managed to achieve 0.1% more, but the gap with today’s number two was no less than 3%.

Severo Jurado Lopez is also present and has the Negro son Fendi T, breeder fam. Timmers from Volkel, under the saddle. In their second international Grand Prix they managed to achieve a nice score of 71.109%. During their debut in Hagen, the pair managed to achieve a score of 68.391%. In short, a very good improvement of their PR in this class!

Tomorrow morning the program will continue with the Grand Prix Special at 8.00 am where these horses will again compete. After this class, the Nation Cup will take place where Lottie will compete with Dark Legend.

Both Kjento (s. Negro x Jazz, bred by family van Os from Sprang Capelle) and Lantanas (s. Sir Donnerhall x Hemmingway, bred by S. Kleuskens from Horst) got selected for the next observation round for the World Championships for Young Horses in Verden.

In Grote Brogel, Belgium, Glamourdale showed his great form: He won his second international Grand Prix with a score of 76.761%. With almost 4% difference from the number two, the judges were unanimous in its verdict. Glamourdale (s. Lord Leatherdale x Negro bred by Mr. Rodenburgh from Ouderkerk aan de Ijssel) has received his second international qualification and this meets the requirement to start in international 5 star competitions, such as CHIO Rotterdam, CHIO Aachen but of course also the European Championships.

In the Grand Prix Freestyle, on the music of Clearwater, Glamourdale danced to victory in the pouring rain. To the sounds of “Simply the best”, the former world champion showed his passage like a king, an exemplary piaffe and perfect tempy changes. This Freestyle debut was good for a percentage of 83.235% and the victory in his very first freestyle.

This 2nd qualification also means that the Olympic Games in Tokyo would be possible to compete in when Lottie gets selected, but Van Olst Horses has decided to give priority to the obligations of Glamourdale as a stallion. He will be available this season with fresh semen (EU).
