The 2021 generation presented itself today at the first Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage in Ermelo. The four-year-old stallions did not disappoint, with Real Dream even achieving the highest score of the day. Ridden by Charlotte Fry, this Dynamic Dream son received 92.8 points, including a 9.8 for his excellent canter.
The newest crop delivered an interesting round to conclude the first competition of the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition. Real Dream (Dynamic Dream out of Fivanny ster PROK by Negro, breeder: Maatschap Pleyter from Zalk and H.A. van Triest from Elburg), a grandson of the renowned Dolly, performed very well as the last starter. Ridden by Charlotte Fry, he took the lead. “A very beautiful, appealing horse that was presented with great harmony,” enthused Domien Michiels, also on behalf of Brecht D’Hoore and Janine van Twist. “This horse had a beautiful connection, moving nicely uphill and towards the hand. The walk is very functional and active. In trot, the performance was very natural, well-supported and consistent. The highlight was the canter, with excellent balance, good technique, and a hind leg that consistently followed the lead. The canter is very natural, uphill, and with beautiful transitions. He always remained well-supported, with his nose towards the hand.”
A good walker, Renzo
Real Dream faced competition from stablemate Renzo (Kjento out of Aronia elite pref prest IBOP-dres PROK by Rousseau, breeder: C.M.E. Reijrink of Diessen). This stallion, presented by Zandra Birkeland, came close with 92.4 points. He received a 9.5 for his high-quality walk. This is a powerful horse presented in a natural, harmonious manner. The walk flows beautifully through the body, with plenty of overreach and activity. He maintained a beautiful length to the hand and was always true to rhythm from the very first stride. The trot is natural and light-footed with plenty of suppleness and verve. He also carries himself beautifully, and we saw good balance in the yielding. The canter is very light-footed and consistent.
